7/2 Boot, scoot, and boogie over to The Beer Garden at Shippan Landing starting at 5:30 for their Country Fest. It’ll feature some country music, drink specials, fireworks, giveaways, and games.
7/3-5 Check out Rizzuto’s in Stamford for a ridiculous cheap 3 course lobster bake for just $19.99. You’ll get NE Clam Chowder or Baby Spinach; NE Lobster Bake which includes lobsters, Little Necks, Rhode Island mussels, corn on the bob, baby red potatoes, and grilled Andouille; and you’ll finish up with Blueberry and Strawberry Shortcake. For an extra $10, you can get a second lobster, too.
7/5 Olio in Stamford will be celebrating their 3 year anniversary with a killer brunch that includes free champagne and donuts. Yeah, you need those donuts! To make your reservation, call them up at (203) 817-0303. Just be sure not to go on Saturday, because they are closed then.
7/8 Mark this and mark it well: this is the day that Coalhouse Pizza’s bar will open, topping them off at 85 brews on tap . . . the most in CT! In addition, there will be a ton of bourbon to drink. Not too shabby.
7/8 Tune into News 12 at 8:30 to see Tracey Medeiros make 5 different drinks that are featured in her book, The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook.
7/10 Bounty Burger will be hitting up Half Full Stamford’s Open House. Just stop by from 6-9, pay $15, and you’ll get unlimited brews. Bounty Burgers are extra but SO worth it. Trust us.
7/13 From 6-8, local artist Susan Smith will be helping you to paint your own masterpiece for just $35 at Jojoto in Branford. While you’re there, you’ll have the bar to yourself and will get specials like $6 cocktails, $5 wines, $4 beers, and $5 tapas. Get in your sips (or gulps) of beer and your noms in to Ginger Man Norwalk before July 9 . . . that’s when they’ll be closed until September. Why you ask? Well, to make some amazing changes like a new, upgraded kitchen, an expansive outdoor seating area, a stage, and updates to the decor. If you’re in need of your G Man fix, you can always head to their Greenwich spot or Cask Republic.
Bridge Street Wienery in Stamford has a brand new shake ($4.29) that you’re gonna wanna get down wit: their Reese’s Peanut Butter Milkshake. That includes vanilla or chocolate ice cream, Reese’s PB cup bits, a little bit of chocolate syrup, and whole milk.
Lugano Greenwich is now open for dinner and lunch. Also, don’t forget Happy Hour from 4-7 Monday-Friday which includes $5 wines, $3.50 brews, tapas, and salumi. Treat yo’ self!
Palmwich is now serving some up Cold Brewed Coffee from Shearwater Roasters in Trumbull. If you haven’t had cold brew, it’s defnitely the way to go because it keeps a nice depth of flavor and packs a major punch in terms of caffeine.
Bareburger Ridgefield is making that holiday weekend picnic super easy by packing everything up for you so you can bring it along to the park or wherever the hell you go on a beautiful holiday weekend.
Sammy’s Southport Pizza & Grill is reopening on Monday if you’ve been waiting for them to start serving up some pies after their fire.
Community Plates has received a $5,000 grant from First County Bank. This grant helps them to continue their mission of rescuing food for hungry people in CT and across the country.

7/2 Prime 16 in Orange is tapping a hard to find keg A Hop & a Dream: Galaxy IPA from Steady Habit at 4 pm.
7/15 Last year we spent a perfect summer day on the Soundwaters boat. The purpose? Half Full Brewery’s Rare Beer Night. And, this time around, there will be Sea Salt & Chocolate Gose, Rhubarb Wheat, Worldwide IPA, and one mystery beer. Tickets are $55 and that includes snacks during the cruise as well as a sizable donation to Soundwaoers who helps to educate people about the Sound.
Fuzzy Baby Ducks sightings. Yes, this legendary brew from NEBCo has been spotted all over the state recently again . . . and even in their newly reopened tap room yesterday. Did you get your fix?
Kent Falls Brewing just got a little more exciting with a new barrel, expanding their brewing capatcity! Get ready for some more killer farmhouse ales coming to your local packie or beer-centered spot.
If you’re heading to Foxwoods, check out COMIX for some comedy and brews. And, starting yesterday, they are filling 64 oz. growlers for $35.
Foley Brothers Brewing is now in CT, so if you want to get your hands on some Citrennial, you know what to do . . .
Part of the new law regarding selling beer at farmers’ markets involves the market having to invite a brewery to become a part of their market. And, that just happened with Coventry Regional Farmers’ Market inviting Willimantic Brewing to take part.
Little Pub Wilton has a ton of Maine Beer Co. on tap this week, so head on over if you need to get some of their killer brews.
