Drink Beer at SBC, Help Kids with Muscular Dystrophy. Win-Win!

3 May

We love charity events, but we especially love charity events that make it easy for people of all walks to show their support! Just like this super simple, super awesome event at Southport Brewing Company (SBC) that our Facebook friend, James Lacerenza, informed us of.  Yes, the same James who has an official day named after him in Stamford for the awesome work that he does.

What makes it so simple and so awesome? All you have to do is mosey on down to any of SBC’s 5 locations, ask Mr. or Ms. Bartender for a pint of “Sweet Emotion” from their “Help Line” tap (appropriately shaped like a phone) during the months of May, June and July and $0.50 will be donated to The Jett Foundation’s Camp Promise East in Hamden, Connecticut.

So what does that 50 cents get you? You get to help send kids with Muscular Dystrophy to summer camp and you get to enjoy a tasty Vienna lager. It’s a win-win, so get on it!  While you’re there, take advantage of their beer variety by asking for a flight of beer.
