We are excited to announce that Eat for Equity has planned its second dinner of the year. This time, they are taking things a little bit past the city limits into Greenwich. Dinner will be served on Saturday, June 14, from 4-7 pm on the beautiful Agnew Apple Orchards. What? Greenwich has an orchard? Awesome! Even cooler: you’ll be having a picnic on that 6.7 acre piece of land, enjoying some great food, drinks, and making some new friends. Make sure to reserve your spot by signing up here…and bring some people with you, too. The more, the merrier.
Like all Eat for Equity events, the cost to attend and eat is free, but a donation of $15-20 is greatly appreciated. This time around (the charity changes for each meal) they’ll be helping to raise money for the Greenwich Land Trust. This is a non-profit that works to preserve land permanently for farmers, agricultural, and shared use in Greenwich.
Here’s the menu (fit for locavores, vegetarians, and carnivores alike):
1) Kale Caesar Salad
2) Oven Baked Fries
Mini Pizzas: feta & onion, cheese, and hot sauce & onion
3) Meatloaf Sliders
Black Bean Sliders
4) Flag Cake
Like all Eat for Equity events, you might want to bring some brews or drinks to share. Might we suggest some hard apple cider? That would seem fitting, huh?
