When we first shared with you about the Beer’d Brewing Co. of Stonington finally coming to Fairfield County, the interwebs went crazy. Could it be true? The brewery with quite the cult following tucked away at the corner of the state, just around the corner from Rhode Island, would finally be making its way to the 203?

Yeah, well, it’s true and on this Thursday, 3/12, from 5-11 at Coalhouse Pizza in Stamford, you’ll get to try some of the great Beer’d brews below (that’s the complete Coalhouse tap list) . . . maybe even for the first time.

That’s a pretty sick list and includes many of their best and most popular beers. You might notice that there is a certain other beer not on that list. A beer that Frodo or Samwise Gamgee might enjoy. Well, if you pray enough and send off enough good vibes (or destroy Sauron), you might just get some of that sweet sweet Hobbit Juice. Even if that Tolkien-esque brew doesn’t make its way, there’s still plenty of amazing brews to try. And, not only will you get to try the beer, but you’ll also have your chance to meet with Aaren Simoncini, owner and brewer, and Precious, his soon-to-be-wife/partner/social media expert. They’ll be on hand to talk about Beer’d, their brews, and answer any questions that you might have. No doubt they’ll be fielding lots of questions about their expansion from a nano to a microbrewery, their taproom, and their plans for future world domination.

This was the main room of Coalhouse during the NEBCo Tap Takeover, so try to stop by early because this will be just as busy (if not more) . . .

Get a pint, get a flight, or get some kind of crazy combination of both, just don’t miss this awesome opportunity. Stick around until 8 pm, and you’ll also get the chance to listen to a great band, Keltic Kick.
