Slices of NY Heaven + More @ Bronx House Pizza Pie in Springdale, Stamford

25 Oct

Just a short walk from our house is the brand new Bronx House Pizza Pie that has its grand opening tomorrow. The new joint, owned by Bruno DiFabio who also owns Amore on Hope Street, ReNapoli in Greenwich, and many other great award-winning pizza places, is located at 27 Ryan Street. If you’re coming off of Hope, turn down Camp Ave. then you’ll see it right after the Twin Rinks and across from Napa Auto Parts.

When you’re there, you’ll have a few options open up to ya: apps like lasagna balls and mooz sticks, 6 different kinds of salad bowls, Italian favorites like baked ziti, lasagna, chicken parm, heroes, and calzones, and of course pies. Make your own, order from specialty pies like Starry Hope (meatball, ricotta, pesto, sweet onion), Butcher Shop (sausage, meatball, pepperoni, bacon, ham), Grandmas (tomato, garlic, oregano, mooz), and Bronx House that has sausage, pepperoni, parm, and mooz.

If you’re not feeling like you can’t finish a whole pie by yourself or want to try lots of different slices, get ready because they’ll be selling by the slice, too. There are a few benches at Bronx House Pizza Pie, so it’s more of a casual spot to hit up. They are also offering up delivery to anywhere in a 3-mile radius. During a special Friends & Family event today, they shared that they would be delivering to downtown, Habor Point, and even the nearest parts of New Canaan and Darien. Basically, they’ll deliver to any place where the pizza will still be burn-the-roof-of-you-mouth-hot.

While we only had the chance to sample the plain cheese pie today, it was a perfect example of a NY style pie . . . and we couldn’t be happier with this pie. When we’re ready for our next pizza delivery night, this will definitely be our number one choice.
