Chef Plum is no stranger to TV. Whether it’s his numerous appearances on local TV, competing on the inaugural show of The Taste, a mini Chopped competition on Food Network, or even eHow cooking webisodes over the internet, Chef Plum’s got it covered. Plus, we haven’t even mentioned the great things he does through his friendship and work with Pro Players Insiders. Plus, lots of people in CT know Chef Plum through Plum Luv Foods and his pop up dinners.
Well, our beloved Plum who is larger than life, will be on TV again soon. This time around you’ll find him on Guy Fieri’s new show, Guy’s Grocery Games, on Food Network. The new series premieres on 10/20 at 8 pm on Food Network and on 10/27 you’ll see Chef Plum compete.
Guy’s Grocery Games is set in an actual grocery store (Fields Market in Cali) that Fieri fondly refers to as “Flavortown Supermarket.” Yes, we know he loves his Flavortown references. For each episode, four chefs will be competing against each other to win up to $20,000. To get there, though, the chefs must pass each round that includes shopping for a themed meal, staying under budget, then cooking some majorly impressive food. Some of the judges for this season include Melissa d’Arabian, Richard Blais, Beau MacMillan, Jet Tila, Marcela Valladolid and Catherine McCord.
The last chef who remains on each episode will be given a 10-item shopping list and only ten minutes to get the ingredients. For each ingredient found on the list, the final chef will earn $2,000 and up to $20,000 if everything is found.
We we wish our buddy lots of luck and can’t wait to see the episode.
