CT Beer + Restaurant Weeks Brewing Statewide October 13-19

Get ready to drink some ridiculous amounts of beer and eat dish after dish as the second CT Beer Week of the year eclipses with Connecticut Restaurant Week from October 13-19. Well, okay, you’re probably ready to eat and drink, but let’s get ya primed and ready for meals and deals galore.

First up is CT Beer Week. Breweries and restaurants around the state will be offering special beers, collaborations, events, and deals to help quench your demanding thirst. Plus, make sure you check into Untappd (let’s be friends) and get the CT Beer Week sticker just like last year!

Meals and Deals at Statewide Connecticut Restaurant Week, 2012: 10/8-10/14

Last year we told you about Connecticut Restaurant Week.  The holiest of holiest restaurant weeks.  The restaurant week that covers the entire state…yeah, that big.  Well, it’s back from October 8 to October 14!  There are over 97 restaurants involved this year and they all have something different for you.  They might have a coursed prix-fixe dinner for $20.12, two for one deals, a certain percent off your check, or even offer specially priced bottles of wine.  We have the updated restaurants with menus, but be sure to check back here and to follow the Connecticut Restaurant Association on Twitter and Facebook for updates, too.

Stamford Downtown Winter Restaurant Weeks 2012 Heats Things Up

Leave it to Stamford to spice up the whole restaurant week thing into something great.  Yeah, well, you read the title correctly:  Stamford Downtown Winter Restaurant Weeks.  Weeks!  Yup.  Start eating February 26 and don’t stop until it’s March 11.  You’ll be able to try out 30 of Stamford’s best spots for diddily squat.  There are three price levels, starting at $10.12 lunch/$15.12 dinner, $12.12 lunch/$20.12 dinner, or $20.12 lunch/$30.12 dinner. Also mark down March 18 to March 23 for Stamford Uptown Restaurant Week.  We’ll update you when we get all the goods. ;)

If you’re looking for some info on some of these spots, we’ve reviewed Volta, Capriccio, Grand Burger, Lola’s, SBC, Bar Rosso (when it first opened), napa & co, Tappo, and Zaza Gastrobar, but we’ve been to most of these spots.  We’d love to try out Aria and Patrizia’s, so these two weeks would be perfect.  Is that crazy that those two and one other restaurant on the list are the only ones we haven’t eaten at?  Well, guess it’s not that crazy.  What spots do you want to hit up?  Let us know if you need advice, k?

Omnomivore’s Paradise in Darien: Winter Restaurant Week 2012!

Whatcha doing Monday, 2/6, thru Friday, 2/10?  Well, now you know.  You’re going to be heading out to Darien Restaurant Week.  Darien is proving to be quite the contender in the restaurant scene lately, especially with the soon to be open Darien Social.  Each restaurant will have at least three courses for you with a prix fixe meal at either $10.12 or $20.12 for lunch or $15.12 or $30.12 for dinner.  Details aren’t live yet, but we’ll update this post when we get them.  Check out the restaurants along with comments:

Café D’Azur:  Great Mediterranean food and also French dishes.  Review to come.

Cesco’s Trattoria:  We’ve heard great things about Cesco’s, with some people swearing that it’s amazing Italian.

Chuck’s Steakhouse:  This is a landmark in Darien, yet we’ve never been.  Good time to try…

Coromandel:  Great Indian food, up there in the ranks with Thali.

Darien Social:  The new boy in town, promising to be hot stuff.  Read our post and try it opening week.

The Goose American Bar & Bistro:  We’re also have heard great things here, but have yet to try.

Cities across CT take part in massive Connecticut Restaurant Week: October 10-16, 2011

Yup, yup, we got the deets for you.  It was surprisingly hard to find the info about Stamford Summer Restaurant Week 2011, but we dug and dug just for you.  It seems that restaurant week has more exceptions now (like no Fridays or Saturdays), which is kind of frustrating.  We hope it doesn’t become a trend, because we all love restaurant week!  What better chance to try a whole bunch of spots, eat cheap, and go home happy? :)  Here’s a link to the official site with menu lists.

 This year in partnership with Stamford Hospital, Stamford Tables will host KIDS’ FANS 5-2-1-0, a program designed to promote nutrition and fitness in Stamford. All children under 12 will be offered a healthy lunch for $6.95 and dinner for $9.95 at most of the above listed restaurants. An * next to the restaurants above means they aren’t participating in this new promotion.

Also, the first 3,000 Summer Restaurant Weeks patrons will receive a voucher for a free small popcorn with the purchase of a general admission ticket to the Avon Theatre, 272 Bedford Street, valid thru 9/30/11. Yeah popcorn.  Except, with a small, we’d have that done before the first preview! ;)
